The Niagara Escarpment has a 200 foot difference between the upper and lower peninsula and a traditional bike would be too much effort for most people.
Are there paved trails to ride?
Yes. The Niagara River Recreational Trail is one of the nicest trails in the world. It is 56 km long from Fort George to Fort Erie. It is historic and stunning in beauty. On this trail, we ask that you do not use the thumb throttle.
Can I take a spare battery with me? No
Does peddling recharge the battery? No
Can I take a charger with me to charge on the go?
No. These are high-level batteries that need to be charged to exact standards.
How far can I go on a battery?
All our ebikes have a fully charged battery and are ready to go.
Based on a weight of 170 lbs the distance is 40 km with no peddling (only thumb throttle), 60 KM with light peddling (peddle assist level 2 or 3) and 80 KM with normal peddling (peddle assist level 1).
Weight, wind, and the number of times you stop & go are all factors.
Can more that one person ride on the bike?No
Can I tow a child or dog carrier to the back? No
Can someone under 16 years old ride the ebike?
No. By law you must be at least 16.
Can I ride an ebike, if I haven't rode a bike in years?
Yes, anything is possible, but we recommend you train for your outing.
Can I keep these overnight?
No. The ebikes must be returned by 7:30 PM daily.
Can I ride in the rain?
Yes, but we monitor the forecast. If it is raining throughout the day, we will close our operations for new reservations. A notice will be posted on our Book Now page.
Do the bikes have a phone mount?
No because we require riders looking at the road at all times.
